Harassment is a pattern of unwanted attention that may include pressuring for a date, repeated messages, unexpected appearances, unwanted gifts, and can escalate to stalking which can include monitoring or threats
“I’m not interested” is explanation enough
Pay attention to repeated conduct rather than dismissing each incident in isolation
Tell trusted friends, relatives, roommates, school personnel, or coworkers what is happening
Keep a dated log of incidents and preserve texts, emails, voicemails, letters, gifts, screenshots, alerts, and photographs
Seek guidance before blocking accounts or removing trackers
Call emergency services if you face an imminent threat
